In the light of faith we do not seek to unveil or to explain but to perceive and to absorb the rarities of mystery that shine out from all things; not to know more but to be attached to what is more than anything we can grasp. Only those who maintain that all things in life and death are within reach of their will try to place the world within the frame of their knowledge. But who can forever remain insensitive to the fragrance of the holy bestowed upon life?

without knowing i suddenly realized
the sheer miracle of simply being alive
don’t ask me ... "how?"

The wondrous miracle of being alive here and now and in this body - your body - breathing in and out, comes as a revelation. Suddenly or slowly, there is a shift from the thought of being alive as a miracle to the felt feeling of it.
You realize your life is a gift; you are a gift, not only to others but to Life Itself. What arises with this recognition is gratitude.
No longer do you think Life owes you. You see Life has already given, and does give, all It is to you... and everyone. Your part is to receive, to let the Waters of Life flow freely in and through.
